Product description

The first sign that restaurant guests see is the façade sign featuring the restaurant’s name. This is usually the restaurant’s largest sign – but not the only one. Guests are already met by a sign at the door showing opening hours and often the menu is also available there. Inside the restaurant there is usually a sign on the toilet door and staff often wear name badges.

What restaurant signs does your restaurant need? All restaurants need signs that inform, advertise or show the way. In our Design Page, you can create customised signs for your restaurant environment.

Restaurant signs – Some examples

Opening hours signs

A sign with the restaurant’s opening hours is virtually a must. And don’t forget an “OPEN” sign, which is vital if the restaurant has slightly unusual opening hours.

Name badges

Name badges for the staff are most common in larger restaurants but can also be used in pizzerias or restaurants where fewer people work. A name badge is a more personal way of greeting people, and it also tells the guest who they are talking to.

Menu

A large, clear menu sign is one of the most common restaurant signs. Menu signs are useful both within the restaurant and outside, so that passers-by can see what is on offer.

Toilet

Sometimes, a small door sign indicating the location of the toilet is enough. In larger restaurants, signs that indicate the way there may be necessary.

No smoking

Smoking has been banned in restaurants for a number of years now, which most people accept. However, it may need emphasising with a No Smoking sign in a restaurant or outdoor seating area.
