Product description
There are a number of different types of dog signs. For a start, a dog can have a personal name badge, or tag, on its collar. Some dog owners want signs that can convey information to other people, such as “Beware of the dog” or “No dogs allowed” signs. We offer a very wide range of dog signs and, of course, their text, content and design can be modified.
Dogs are man’s best friend and one of the most common pets. In addition to being sociable, dogs can perform a variety of tasks. Dogs can be an aid in everything from surveillance and tracking to acting as a guide dog for the blind. A wide range of dog signs can match each unique situation.
There are a number of different types of dog signs out there. From simple dog tags to ‘No Dogs Allowed’ to the more dramatic ‘Beware of the Dog’ signs. This last can be very important for the health and safety of both dog and human. ‘Beware of the Dog’ signs are highly important in everyday life. Dogs are usually seen as friendly and people generally want to touch them. If, however, your dog is not so accommodating or is, in fact, a guard dog, then it is very important to display this fact.
It should be noted, however, that a ‘Beware of the Dog’ sign doesn’t necessarily mean that the dog is dangerous. If the dog is loose in a garden and there is the possibility of someone coming in via a gate such as a postman, it simply serves as a warning to the guest so that they know to close the gate behind them. However, for the most part, these signs have a more serious reason behind them in that the dog is potentially dangerous.
Whatever the reason for the sign, they need to be clear, readable and fully visible. Ideally, they should be placed on the gate or door into the area in which the dog resides giving people prior notice. If the property is large, it can be worth placing a number of signs along perimeter fences as well.
One classic sign is the “Beware of the dog” sign. This serves as a warning to guests, but also as a signal against potential burglars that a dog is guarding the home. If you want a more personal, gentler sign, you can choose a sign with text such as “Beware of the charming dog”. A sign like that may not be as off-putting, but clear enough that people afraid of dogs will be extra cautious when they come in.
A dog sign with the opposite effect is a name sign for a dog. These are fitted to a dog kennel and welcome guests to the dog’s home. How do you want guests (both welcome and unwelcome) to perceive your dog? Use that as the basis to design your dog sign.
